Google fonts for use in design and on the web, has the objective of ‘making the web more beautiful, fast and open through great typography.

It is a platform of completely open source fonts, available for design, web and technology to make the integration of typography into design projects, online and offline, seamlessly.

The catalogue is vetted by Google meaning quality and variety is, as you would expect. The data that Google has shows the popularity of each font, which fonts are often used with other fonts. It’s fully searchable by the type and style of font that you might need for your project. The best thing about this is that it means it’s possible to get consistency of brand across web and print. This had often been harder or more expensive to do with some of the more ‘traditional’ fonts.

Check out Google Fonts for more information and to see the range.
