Exhibition stand design for the national rollout of full-fibre broadband

CityFibre was the headline sponsor for the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Expo in September 2018. They needed an impactful stand to maximise their exposure. Trident worked with them to come up with a creative theme and then provided production support, through to on-site build on the day and break down.

The Background

CityFibre were headlining the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Expo.

They had a key speaker slot, the stand was positioned in the entrance to the main exhibitor room and they needed to maximise the impact of the stand within the room. As the stand was a one-day event they briefed us to ensure that as many of the printed items could be re-used for future events to maximise the budget.

Full Speed Ahead

Following on from a briefing meeting Trident came up with 3 creative concepts, to allow the client to understand how the stand could be designed and constructed, maximising the impact of the key messaging of ‘Gigabit City – Coventry, Full Speed Ahead’ to tell their potential audience of the fact the city’s infrastructure was being upgraded.

The CityFibre branding and colours had to be well represented and the flooring was designed to look like the tarmac on the road within the city.

The design was then finalised based on the chosen style and we then produced the printed assets, provided AV on the stand and built the raised flooring prior to the event.

Exhibition Stand Mockup

This idea tries to create an atmosphere of being outside in the city. The lights can be wrapped loosely or tightly around the tree, this would represent the internet branching off to different places as well as network and connection. We want to show movement in the lighting so it’s not static and we could create some theatre with the fibre wires coming from the ground. The tree being a free standing object is practical as it is easy to move around and to wrap things around it. the outside environment is unique and will therefore grab peoples attention.

The stand was really well received by key stakeholders within CityFibre, the Chamber of Commerce and was impactful amongst the other stands at the exhibition.
